What is closing an app?
Closing an app stops the app from functioning completely on Apple iOS devices. All background functions (including tracking, notifications, etc.) will cease to continue. Users that are logged into the GoDesta Driver app should not close the app while they are performing work for a Transport Operator.
What is minimising an app?
Minimising an app pushes the app into the background on Apple iOS devices. While an app is minimised, the app is able to continue to record GPS Location, receive job updates, receive messages and provide notifications to users of the GoDesta Driver app.
How should i close the app when i finish working?
When a driver has completed their work for the day, a user of the GoDesta Driver app should always end their work day and log out of their account prior to closing the application.
This ensures that their work / rest periods are accurately recorded and communication between drivers and transport operators can be reduced.
